The original Nike Air Presto shoe, released in 2000, was designed as a sort of foot tee, with an incredibly soft and breathable elastic upper as comfortable as a sock. The Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit shoe brings up to date the original model with ultra-light comfort.

Origins of Flyknit technology

The Nike Flyknit technology is inspired by the indications of runners wishing to have a shoe as comfortable as a sock while being barely noticeable. Nike has embarked on a four-year mission in which programmers, engineers, and designers have been thinking about creating the technology to make the mesh upper with static properties for structure and durability. Then, the precise placement of the holding, flexibility and breathability zones (all in one piece) has been redesigned. The result: an almost seamless, fitted and ultralight upper.
